Speaker: NPPA Northern Short Course

I’ve been invited to present at the 35th Annual Northern Short Course, the annual conference held in conjunction with the National Press Photographer’s Association, in Iselin, New Jersey on Friday and Saturday, February 26-27, 2016.
- Session 1, Friday, Feb 26 from 10:45am-Noon:
Understanding and Breaking into the Freelance Market: Discussing what awaits you as you enter the freelance profession, a look at recent changes and realistic advice on how best to get started.
Session 2, Saturday, Feb 27 from 1:30pm-4:30pm:
Analyzing Contracts, Creating Licensing Revenue and Basic Rate Structure: This three hour session will help you to understand the various contracts and legal terminology you will encounter in freelance photography so you can make sound business choices. The session will also discuss how to prepare and earn income from licensing your images throughout your career. We will also discuss basic assignment rate structures for editorial, corporate and non-profit work.
