N17, billed as the National Day of Protest marking the two month anniversary of the anti Wall Street movement, was a reminder that the movement is alive and well. Los Angeles occupiers, whose ranks swelled with support of by labor unions and others, joined cities across the nation in protest by briefly occupying intersections and the Bank of America plaza in the city’s financial district. Although their were arrests, the day was not marked by violence as it was in New York city where protesters (and journalists) were pushed and shoved to the ground as hundreds of arrests were made.
